Got a message from 07400217592 asking if I’d spent £5 at Betfred with my debit card. They wanted me to reply yes or no. I replied through my bank’s app but the transaction still shows as pending. Planning to block them now. Watch out!

Got a call from this number and my bank had warned me about callers asking if I was making a transaction. Just a heads up to be careful with this one.

Just got a call from this number and it was some weird automated voice saying I’d spent £96 on my Amazon account (which doesn’t even have anything to do with my phone, and no one’s spent a penny!). It asked me to press 1 to talk to a manager, but I just ended the call straight away.

Got a message from this number asking if I’d used my card for an Uber on a particular date, telling me to reply yes or no. Seems like a scam to me. I don’t even use Uber and my banking app is set up with extra security that alerts me straight away if there’s any odd activity, even when I try to buy takeout. Definitely gonna report this.

I got a dodgy text telling me to reply yes or no about some transaction. I ended up blocking the number and cancelling my cards right away. Then, I had a few smooth-talking calls where they wanted me to press a button so they could ask security questions. I blocked that number too.

I got a dodgy alert from this number, claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland, requesting that I "verify my banking information." Definitely smells like a scam!

I just got a ping from my Lloyds app about a £0 transaction attempt. At that same moment, this number blew up my phone with like four messages, all wanting me to say yes or no if I made a payment. I quickly blocked them. Honestly, they’re so fortunate I haven’t met them face-to-face, because I’m pretty sure I’d give them a right good clout!

This number texted me asking to reply "yes" to verify a payment from my account. I never replied as my bank wouldn’t ask me to do that.

Got a dodgy text pretending to be from Bank of Scotland. It asks you to verify your banking info before confirming if there’s been a suspicious withdrawal or not. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

TOTAL RIP-OFF. When I called them out, they just had a right laugh and claimed they’re doing great financially, not worried about the cost of living at all, and even bragged about buying a new Mercedes Benz, all because no one ever tries to stop them. 🤬 The police told me to raise awareness by posting on social media and urged everyone who gets these scam calls, texts, or letters to share it, so more people can be warned about these scams. Apparently, they’ve swiped hundreds of thousands of pounds just last month, according to the cops.
