Since it was only a mobile, I picked up. It was one of those robotic voices, maybe with an American twang? Hard to make out exactly, but I thought I heard something about “important papers ready”. I wasn’t expecting anything at all, so I just ended the call. If it were genuine, wouldn’t they try to talk to me directly to confirm they’d got the right person? Total scammers if you ask me.

Got a voicemail from 07399990081 saying they were from EE but my bill was already paid. Don’t trust that link they sent, looks dodgy. Crazy how far some folks go just to scam money these days.

Got a spam message today with a dodgy link, don’t go near it! The text said something like: HMRC: there’s a tax refund of £341.95 GBP waiting for you from “hmre”. It told me to confirm my details by clicking on [#Juktaxrefundhmis##]. Obviously a scam, so be careful!

Watch out, got a message saying ‘HSBC security froze a transfer of £477.31 from 12/01.’ It told me to sort it out at some link ending in verifymypayee-issue livelhsbc. Looks dodgy to me, don’t click it!
