2 yearsWeird thing happened today, I spent ages typing out a long story about a phone call I had regarding diesel emissions, and also about how I like watching YouTube videos on scammers. Then, right after work, I checked my emails and noticed two messages from comparethemarket.com offering me a deal on a van. The odd bit? I stopped driving a van years ago, and the call I got was about that same van. I’ve only owned a car for the past six years or so.YouTubecomparethemarket. com2 yearsGot a call from a supposed scammer today...2 yearsI got a call from some lot claiming to be from a bank, asking for my details. Don’t trust these dodgy people, they’re just after your info to steal your cash. There isn’t any real company behind the name they use. If you just hang up or ignore them, they can’t swipe your money. They keep their numbers hidden for a reason. If the number begins with +44, it’s not a genuine landline - probably some automated scam. Make sure you report these scams at phishing.gov.uk or just text DALL to 7726 to help stop them.2 yearsI don’t use EE at all, so I can’t see why they’d be ringing me. Sounds like one of those scams where someone fakes being a UK mobile company. I’ve just blocked the number straight away.EE2 yearsStay clear and block them. This just shows another mess up in the UK where they don’t have proper rules to hold people responsible for their phone numbers.UK2 yearsGot a call was it one of them dodgy scams about Mercedes emissions or sumthin?
