I got a call from someone saying they were from BT, using a mobile number, claiming they’d been testing internet connections nearby and told me my line had been compromised. The caller kept using the wrong name for me and when I asked what the call was about, they asked me to get on my PC so they could check my connection. Since they couldn't even get my name right, I figured something dodgy was going on and just hung up straight away.
