Got a call on 19/07/18 but didn’t answer, then it just went silent. Checked the number here and wasn’t shocked to see loads of bad reviews. Best thing is to just block it and move on.

Got a call like this a couple days back. Dude said he was from Citizens Advice about some debts I supposedly had. I told him there’s no way I owe anything, asked him to take me off his list, then just ended the call. These types trick you into picking up cause it shows a mobile number!

Someone rang up asking for my lad, no clue what it was about. From reading the other reviews, looks like it’s best to steer clear. I've blocked the number now.

I already blocked this number ages ago but weirdly they rang again today. How does that even happen? Tried blocking them once more but the number was still listed as blocked! Before they said they were from Citizens Advice, now they claimed to be from Citizens Office running a charity, saying once they raised £5000 I wouldn’t owe any debts LOL. Told them I haven’t got any debts and they just hung up. Total SCAMMERS, don’t share any info with these lot.

Somebody said they were from citizens advice. When I said they weren’t cos my brother works there, they just shouted “F##k off slag” at me and then asked for my brother’s badge number or whatever that is. Proper weird.

They keep saying they’re from citizens advice and keep ringing me non stop. I asked why citizens advice would be texting from a mobile and asked them to take my number off their list. They just said “no miss no miss you don’t get it so f#ck you stupid b##ch”. I’m about to report them to action fraud since I’m worried that someone who’s more vulnerable might get tricked by this.

Got two calls today, one bloke wanted to speak to me and another guy said he was from Citizen Advice and told me I need to clear all my debts. Wasn't having the best day so I just rudely told him to get lost. Then a lady rang asking for my mum, I asked why she called her Chelle instead of Michelle and where they even got our info from. Been reading the comments below and feel proper sick about what happened with the gentleman and his mum. Hope his mum is doing alright. These lot are total scammers.

I just got a call from this number, and I also had a few calls on Saturday from a different number. They claimed to be from Citizens Advice in Manchester. I phoned Manchester myself since I don’t live there, and they told me it’s a new scam to trick people into giving bank details. BE VERY CAREFUL with these calls!

Some guy just called pretending to owe my mum money (she hasn’t got any debts). I told him that and mentioned she’s in hospital for surgery (which is true). I also said he shouldn’t be sharing info with me because of data protection rules. He ended up calling me white trash and said he hoped she didn’t make it through the operation. I’m defo reporting this to the police and OFCOM. Whoever they are, they’re complete bullies and honestly disgusting.

Some bloke claiming to be Kevin from "Citizens Advice" rang me about some supposed debt I supposedly owe. When I asked him to specify, he just started grilling me about any credit cards or loans I might have. I told him if he was really here to help with my debts, he should already have that info and not waste my time with questions. He ended the call right away. They just cold call random numbers hoping to catch someone struggling and clueless. Total scam. Don’t get caught out, people.

BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER COMMENTS TO SEE THAT IM NOT MAKING THIS UP. Keeps phoning me claiming I've got debts to clear, which I definitely haven’t. When I asked to have my number removed from their list, the bloke started getting rude and said it couldn’t be done. Then he threatened that a bailiff would be sent in 5 days unless I paid a one-time fee of £100.

The person who called me was very impolite and wouldn’t hear me out. He claimed he was from some national debt advice, a government service or something, and wanted me to give him my details so he could sort out my debts. Even after I told him I wasn’t interested, he just carried on. Seems like he’s trying to push some forced debt consolidation without asking properly. This feels really risky and definitely a con.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from a charity arranging ivas. They couldn’t even say my name properly. When I asked how they got my info, they said it was from “the office of fair trading.” I ended the call as soon as I started asking more questions. Pretty clear it was a scam.
