I got a message from this number saying it was my daughter, that her phone had crashed and she needed a new one, so this number was the replacement. Then the next day I got a weird phone call that was hard to understand, and after that another text popped up asking me to lend her £2900!

I remember seeing this same scam years ago on a Channel 5 show called 'Phone Scams Don’t Get Caught Out'. It’s mad how these tricks still get through to parents who aren’t aware. Honestly, the only way to put a stop to these scams is if everyone reports them when they happen.
