I received a message from this number stating they were PayPal and that my account had been restricted until I accessed it through the link they shared. However, I logged in using the official app instead of that dodgy link, and everything turned out fine. Definitely a scam number!

I received a message purporting to be from PayPal, urging me to check the app via a link they included. It all seemed rather suspect, so I decided to skip it.

Received a rather suspicious text at the crack of dawn, around 6am, claiming that my PayPal account has been restricted for security reasons. It urged me to click on a link to verify my account status. 1. First off, I’ve never even signed up for PayPal, so this whole notion of an account being limited is utterly nonsensical. 2. Secondly, the link itself looks incredibly dodgy-definitely not the genuine article-so I’d strongly advise steering clear of it!
