Got this dodgy email from Ken Goncalves claiming I’ve got a massive £12.5 million inheritance waiting for me. Pretty sure it’s a scam. He used this email [email protected][###] 16475330128 to contact me. Watch out for this one!

Just got the same letter from John Stewart about some inheritance cash from Aadam. It’s a complete joke how they manage to get our personal info like that! Has anyone actually bothered to tell the police about this yet?

Got a letter from some John Stewart at CIBC bank about an inheritance, using this phone number. It's really frustrating that these scammers have my details like my name and where I live. Just a heads up to everyone else, watch out!

Got a letter from some bloke called John Stewart today, 1st December. Honestly, I’d quite like to track him down just to let him know exactly where he can stick his £12 million! What a cold, cruel man he must be! Absolutely heartless if you ask me!

Yesterday, I got this exact scam message from someone calling himself John Stewart about my relative Dan #######. Seems like this bloke loves that name! Didn't bother to ring the number - was obvious straight away it was a con. Sure, $12.7 million sounds great, but I’d much rather have my husband Dan who’s very much alive! Fingers crossed nobody falls for this rubbish and the police or someone tracks this guy down quickly.

Today I got a letter about some inheritance from a Mr Dan Young who supposedly died without a will in Canada. The letter was from a John Stewart saying I’m a relative and entitled to half of a $12.7 million estate. Yeah, right, sounds like a scam to me. They want me to get in touch with him at [email protected][###] but no thanks!

Got a weird letter today from some bloke called John Stewart, saying he’s from "CIBC" and that I’m meant to inherit 12.7 million USD. Bit dodgy if you ask me, especially with Christmas coming up. My surname’s not English at all, yet they’re talking about a ‘long lost relative’ with a proper English first name but sharing my foreign last name. Doesn’t add up. Plus, the guy signs off as John but his email’s from a Jon. Definitely a scam. Just a heads up to everyone, don’t fall for it. Though I’m a bit worried now because they’ve got my home address.

Got a letter from some bloke called John Stewart, claiming to be an account manager at a Canadian bank named CIBC. He says he’s trying to find the next of kin for a dead guy who supposedly shares my last name, and that there’s an account with £12.7 million. He wanted me to keep quiet about it and promised to split the money with me. Haha, if I had a relative with that kind of cash, do you really think I wouldn’t be in contact? Honestly, these scams really underestimate how sharp we are!

Just got a letter from a bloke called Ken Congalves at CIBC about an inheritance from someone with the same surname, supposedly in Canada. The UK mobile number he left is 07398943540, which I checked online. Found a LinkedIn profile for a guy with that name too. Feels very much like identity theft to me.

Got this in the post here in the UK, looked really dodgy. The letter was supposedly from CIBC but had a really sketchy header with no address or date on it. It was one of those inheritance scams trying to get you to email [email protected][###]. Seriously, don’t bother responding if you get something similar.

Today my mum got a letter in the post claiming to be from a Steven Robertson about some £6 million inheritance left to her by a cousin in Canada she’s never known. She rang me straight away worried it was some sort of con. I quickly looked it up online and it didn’t take long to find out it’s actually a well known scam that’s still going around. Stay well clear of it!

Got a shady message from some bloke called Steven Robertson saying he was an account manager for CIBC. He told me a mate of his, who apparently shared my surname, had died without a will and left a bank account with 10 million Canadian dollars. The email he used was something dodgy, and the number he gave was +1 437 889 1980. Definitely sounded like one of those inheritance scams, so watch out!

It wasn’t a phone call but an email instead. They said we had inherited a large sum of money and introduced some Canadian lawyer who supposedly would handle it for us, asking for a retainer fee of $9,600. This “James” guy promised to cover half the cost. When my partner told Brian Fraser from Noblefront Solicitors we could not come up with the other half of the retainer, the emails suddenly stopped. Also got messages from CIBC asking for ID proofs, which seemed super fishy. Total scam, no doubt about it.

My mate got this letter a few days back, supposedly from a Canadian bank. The letterhead looked really shoddy and there was no official company info anywhere. It claimed he'd been left $12.7 million by some relative he’d never even heard of. The letter told him to ring Frederick James at that number. I never rung it myself, but it’s clear the scammer is still busy sending these out.
