Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent, sounded like she might be Indian. Said she was from Virgin Media but didn’t have any of my details like account number or name. She mentioned my internet was showing loads of errors and was hacked or something. Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me claiming to be from Virgin, asking if I was having any issues with my broadband speed. I said no, but he just kept going through his spiel, asking how many gadgets I had connected. I asked where he was calling from and he said Virgin Media in Berlin. That’s when I got suspicious and told him straight up it was a scam. He turned nasty and then just hung up on me. Just before that, the word "Equalizer" showed up on my screen - some kinda threat, I guess. I’m absolutely fed up with these dodgy calls and the muppets who make them.

A guy with a really thick Indian accent rang claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying he wanted to boost my internet speed because it was running slow. He was asking about what devices I use the internet on. I told him that if he actually worked for Virgin Media, he should be able to check that himself. I just kept chatting with him to waste his time so he wouldn't bother anyone else. When I asked for a landline number to call him back, he just cut me off. He kept insisting "but this is Virgin Media"! Gotta admit, he was 9/10 for effort, just wish he put it towards something useful.

Some bloke with a funny accent called me, claiming he was from Virgin Media and said some firm in California was trying to hack broadband round here. He suggested Virgin could sort me out with a new code for a safer connection. He sounded proper convincing. She asked what I wanted her to do about it (ha!). I stayed quiet since I don’t even use the internet here. Then she tried again asking if I have internet on my phone, so I shot back, "You tell me, you called my landline after all." She just hung up after that.

I received a phone call from an Indian woman purporting to be from my broadband provider, BT, asserting that they were planning to terminate my service due to supposed illegal activities. Quite understandably, I found this alarming. However, when I calmly informed her that I had tracked her call back to Rajasthan, she became rather agitated. I had to raise my voice a bit and let her know that I deemed her to be engaged in something dubious, and that I was recording the conversation to report it to the authorities.

Yesterday ended with a late night ring and this morning I got a call pretty early, around 8.10. The person on the phone had a strange accent and I really struggled to get what they were saying. I told them to speak a bit clearer and more slowly, but every time I tried, the call just cut off suddenly. It was pretty frustrating!

I got a call from someone named Jacky Wilson claiming to be from Openreach, spoke with a bit of an oriental accent. She told me there was suspicious stuff happening on my Virgin Media account and said she'd help me sort it out. She even suggested sending me a letter to explain everything in detail.

A woman said she was calling from BT Openreach, telling me my IP address was compromised and asked me to use my mobile internet so she could help fix it. I told her I’d get my company’s IT security team to look into it instead. She was quite pushy and kept insisting she’d handle it. I hung up, but she called right back and kept on ringing.
