I got a call from a woman claiming to be from the council, talking about some sort of environmental problem at my home. She mentioned something about ‘cold bridging’, which I had no clue about. When I asked her to explain and who she really was, she just hung up on me! Feels like she was probably trying to sell me loft insulation or something like that. Definitely not answering calls from this number anymore.

I put this number on my block list ages ago, but it still rings now and again.

Sounds like it was one of those English call centres. My answerphone picked up the call, but I don’t think the woman noticed she hadn’t ended it properly. I overheard her dialing somewhere else and chatting to someone nearby, but I couldn’t make out who it was. Strange!
