Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, claiming to be from BT. She told me there was an issue with my broadband IP address, saying it had switched from private to public. I asked if that meant someone was trying to scam me, and she just ended the call straight away. The number was from a mobile phone, which seemed odd since BT’s call centres usually don’t use mobiles for customer calls. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam.
