Got a message claiming to be from HSBC UK saying someone called Mr B White was added to my online banking contacts. They wanted me to click a link for more details. Problem is, I don't even have an account with HSBC, and when I checked my banking app, there was no new contact at all. Definitely seems like a scam!

Got a text from this number claiming it was from HSBC UK, saying some bloke named B White was added as a payee to my account and telling me to visit security-payee-status[###]. I had a strong feeling it was a scam, so I rang my bank to double-check, and as expected, they said it was a fraud.
