Got a text from +44 7398 427541 saying there’s a tax refund waiting for me from HMRC. The message said to go to GOVUK to sort it out. Sounds dodgy to me, just like the others have said.

I received a message claiming I was owed a tax refund from HMRC. If that were legit, they'd send a letter, not a text! Definitely don’t trust it or tap on any links they include. It’s just a scam.

Got a text supposedly from Halifax saying a new gadget was registered on my account. Total scam, don't fall for it! Just ignore it.
