Couple weeks back my bank card got compromised so I had to cancel it. Then today I got a text from my bank with some code and a warning not to share it with anyone. Weirdly, just moments later this number messaged me asking for that very code, saying it was to pay £169.95 for a holiday booking. Sounded dodgy as hell so I’ve reported both the number and the linked company to my bank as a scam.
