This number’s been blowing up my phone with calls from India, always asking for some bloke named Mr Barnes. No clue what they want, but I told them pretty bluntly to leave me alone. I’ve had loads of these calls, usually from debt collectors, always looking for some Mr Barnes or similar. I tried explaining that my number is from a new T-Mobile line, but that didn’t help one bit. Now, I just tell them off as much as I can until they bugger off.

Got a call from this number and some bloke with an Indian accent was asking for Mr Barnes. I wasn’t really interested so I just told him to leave me alone. I keep getting calls about Mr Barnes on my phone, and loads of them seem to be debt collectors. I used to try and explain that this was my new T-Mobile number but they didn’t care. Nowadays, I just tell them to jog on and give them as many rude words as I can manage.

Got a missed call from a strange number I didn’t recognise. When I tried to pick up, they hung up straight away. After seeing all the bad reviews about this number, I’m all set to give the next dodgy caller from overseas a proper headache.

No voicemail or anything, and they haven't tried calling again so I'm guessing it’s one of those dodgy scam calls. Reading what others have said here kind of confirms it. Cheers everyone. Like someone mentioned, if I get the chance I might waste a bit of their time next time it happens, maybe it'll slow them down and stop them pestering others for a bit.

got a call shortly after 10 this morning, was on the phone just before so still had it handy to pick up right away. Heard nothing, just silence, then they hung up. been keeping a list of these strange numbers and looking them up online to see if they’re legit. when i find out they’re not, i just block them so they don’t call me again.

Heard nothing but quiet on the other end, then they just hung up. I've begun jotting down these numbers to look them up online to figure out if they're legit or not. If they turn out to be dodgy or spam, I go ahead and block them so they can't bother me again.

Hey, I got three calls from this number claiming there was a cheque waiting for me. They kept asking for my address and even my DOB. So I told them I’m 430 years old now. Total scam, don’t trust it!

just wanted to add, right after i hung up - literally about 5 seconds later - BT’s call protect popped up with an alert from a number i’d already blocked yesterday. pretty sure it’s the same lot behind that dodgy claims scam. the number showing was 01986 895328. just a heads up for anyone dealing with these annoying calls!

Just to add to what I said earlier. Right after I ended the call, like literally less than 5 seconds later, my BT call protect popped up with a call from a number I’d blocked just the day before. Pretty sure it’s the same scammers, probably that dodgy "old claims" con again. The number they used was 01986 895328. So be careful if you get a ring from that one!

oh great, another asian guy on the phone trying the old fake survey scam trick. this time i thought i’d have a laugh and mess around with him, giving him all sorts of dodgy answers instead of anything clear. you could tell he was getting proper annoyed. honestly, no matter what story they spin about why they’re calling, their real goal is to get bits of info from you to make cash off you somehow. if it’s not straight-up conning you, they’ll just bundle your details with loads of others and hawk it to more fraudsters. wasting 50 quid of his time was well worth it, honestly :-)

Another one of those dodgy survey calls from an Asian guy, no shock there. This time, I thought I'd have some fun and gave him nothing but nonsense when he started probing with his questions. You could tell he was proper fed up. Doesn't matter what story they start with, the real aim is to dig up info about you to make a quick buck. If it’s not total conning, they just bundle your details with heaps others’ and flog it to other scammers. Had a right laugh messing about with him for a good 50 minutes - proper satisfying!

I keep getting calls from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Today’s Habit. They ring from loads of different numbers, always asking about what brand of washing machine I’ve got. I didn’t answer, but my mum did once. After that, another number rings up and says my washing machine insurance needs renewing and they already know the model because of Today’s Habit. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, claimed he was calling from Today’s Habit or something like that. They keep ringing me from loads of different numbers. The bloke just asked what washing machine brand I’ve got, but I didn’t answer. My mum did once though. Not long after, another call came through from a new number, saying my washing machine’s insurance was about to expire and they even mentioned the brand that I’d supposedly told Today’s Habit. Definitely feels like a scam to me.
