Got a dodgy automated call claiming to be from Indeed’s HR about a job offer - total scam, watch out!

Got a call about a new SIM delivery for O2/Virgin Media, and like always, the person had one of those foreign accents from a call centre. When I said no to giving my email and they pushed for security info, they got really short with me. I just wrapped it up by saying cheers, I’ll wait for my SIM! Pretty clear it was a scam.

The lady’s voice was really hard to make out, but I caught something about Vodafone and a 40% discount. Cold calls like that never open with a friendly ‘how are you?’ so I ended the call straight away. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

They keep ringing me non-stop. I finally picked up today, and the person claimed to be from EE, trying to push a 40% discount on new gadgets. I just said no and hung up straight away.

I picked up the phone but the person on the other end just hung up straight away. When I tried ringing them back, it went to a voicemail saying the line was busy. Strange!

Got a call from someone acting like they were from HMRC, trying to scare me about some supposed tax issues. Sounded fishy right from the start. Definitely a scam, so watch out!
