someone rang me claiming to be from microsoft, saying my laptop was compromised. they wanted me to install some app named 'teamviewer' so they could get access to my computer. i got suspicious and figured it must be a tech scam. while i was in the middle of downloading it, i stopped them and asked straight up, "are you scammers?" they just hung up right away and blocked my number, so i couldn’t ring them back.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, said there was an attempt to buy an iPhone using my account from the States. They asked me to install some app, but I refused. After that, I went ahead and switched my password and informed Amazon about it.
