Somebody called pretending to be my son, asking me to send £1700. I kept texting back and forth with the number, but all the while I was actually messaging my real son on another phone to check. Quite glad I spotted it before anything happened!

Got a text from someone saying their phone's busted and they can't get online with their bank, asking me to send cash. They pretended to be a relative, but it just felt dodgy.
