Got a call from some cheerful lass claiming to be from the Home Advice Bureau. She asked how I was and other stuff like that. When I said I wasn’t there and asked who she was, she just hung up on me. Pretty clear scam, if you ask me.

They keep ringing me all the time but I never pick up. Looks like they're using a mobile number to dodge the whole TPS rules. Honestly, you can’t track them unless the cops get involved. I finally answered once and blasted a loud horn noise into the phone. Next time, I’m thinking of playing some super high-pitched noise that’s meant to hurt your ears or something.

Got a call from a woman at around 10:45, talking about some loft and cavity wall insulation I suppose I had done like 12 years back. She sounded quite sure about it, which honestly made me a bit uneasy. Why wouldn’t they just send a letter through the post instead? Seems safer.

Someone called asking for me by name. I have a bit of a sore throat, so my voice was rough, and the woman on the other end was really snappy about how I sounded. She even laughed and then just hung up on me.

I received three phone calls on the 1st of October, 2019. The last one came through quite late and it was from a withheld number. Interestingly, even though it was anonymous, I recognised his voice. It turned out to be the same individual who had called me earlier-during the second call, if I recall correctly. He sounded quite intoxicated and ended up making some rather alarming threats. I've already reported the incident to the authorities.

Pretty clear it was just a pushy salesman trying to get me to book a home assessment for their commission.
