Got a call from someone claiming to be a mediator linked to my insurance, saying they had most of the details about the accident, but supposedly didn’t know who was to blame. Turned out they weren’t connected to my insurer at all, yet they knew way too much to be a coincidence. Proper creepy.

They claimed to be some sort of middleman for my insurance and seemed to know loads about the crash, except for who was to blame. Turned out they had no connection to my insurer whatsoever, which was pretty worrying given how much they already knew.

Stay well clear of these people. They rang me, claiming to be from my insurance about an accident from last year - they even mentioned the exact date. They told me the other person involved had put aside £3,700 for injuries and that I just needed to claim it. Then they confessed they weren't actually with my insurance company but were "acting as mediators" for them. They said they'd take 25% on a no win, no fee deal if I proceeded. Honestly, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
