Whoever rightly owns this number really needs to get in touch with their phone company and also OfCom, especially if this number has been flagged to 7726. It’d be worth dropping an email to their MP as well (you can find how on the UK Parliament site), explain what's going on, and question why people from abroad are able to use fake UK landline or mobile numbers to scam us.
