Got a text from this number saying it was Royal Mail, saying they tried to deliver a parcel but failed and to follow a link. Thing is, I haven’t bought anything online in ages! Plus, I used to be a postie for 35 years and we barely ever did deliveries on Sundays. Proper fed up with these muppets trying to scam folks like us.

This is a classic scam. The link they send might have harmful software. You should forward the message to 7726 and also send a screenshot to '[email protected]'. This helps authorities track down where it came from and check the link's safety. If you want more advice on spotting phishing emails, texts or calls, the National Cyber Security Centre has a dedicated PHISHING section on their website. Reporting these scams really does help cut down on them over time.

So, I got a text claiming to be from Royal Mail about rescheduling the delivery of some parcel I don't even know about. It asked me to re-book via this sketchy site, royal-mail-register.web.app or something like that. I'm just gonna ignore it and not bother.
