This old trick still fools a lot of folks who aren't aware. If you get a scam call or text, make sure to report the number to 7726 - it helps phone companies flag suspicious activity. Sadly, the option to report scams directly to the police through ‘Action Fraud’ online has been shut down - probably a cost-cutting move. If you’re annoyed by this, maybe have a word with your MP. You can still send screenshots of scam messages to the cyber crime unit at '[email protected]', and don’t forget forwarding them to 7726 works too.
