Got a call from someone claiming to be Alex at BT Openreach saying there was some kind of problem inside my router. He tried to get me to let him connect but couldn’t verify any of my info or even prove he was legit. When I told him no way was I letting him near my kit and asked for a new router or an actual engineer to come out, he just ended the call. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Dont pick up if you see this number, Its a scam. They call me like 3 or 4 times daily at the exact same time, so irritating!

I get calls like this all the time, it's so annoying. I just ignore any number I don't know and block them when I can. But they always seem to ring back using different numbers the next day. Honestly, when will OFCOM, BT or the government do something about it?

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, and since this one didn’t leave a voicemail, it’s straight to the blocked list. The moment you do pick up one, they just keep ringing you again and again - probably because they know someone’s actually there. Been getting bombarded by these kinds of calls way too much recently.

Got a call from a woman with a British accent, claiming to be from UK Homeowners. She mentioned some work done on my house and actually knew my address. Asked if I owned the place, then just suddenly ended the call! When I tried to call back, the number didn’t exist. Really don’t know what that was about.

I asked the woman to say the company's name again, but I still didn't catch it, even after asking twice. She then checked my name and mentioned an old address I used to live at years ago, asking if I was the home owner there. I said no, and she kept insisting they weren't trying to sell me anything. However, she never explained why she was calling in the first place. After I told her I didn't own that property, she just said sorry for wasting my time and ended the call.
