I got a call at 8:38 in the morning from a very official-sounding automated message claiming my National Insurance Number was suspended and mentioned something about being arrested. I can see how that would be really upsetting, especially for older or more vulnerable people. I decided to hit 1 to chat with someone just to mess about a bit, since it annoyed me. A young lady answered, sounded like she might be Filipino, and tried to get my details. When she found out my name wasn’t what she expected, she just ended the call.
