12 monthsI was out yesterday evening and noticed a missed call from this number. After seeing all the comments here, I just went ahead and blocked it 👍12 monthsI got a call from someone saying Vodafone, but their English was bad, sounded like an Indian accent or something. I didn’t want the call so I just hung up. I thought these kinds of calls were banned in the UK now?VodafoneUK12 monthsThe phone rang but I didn’t pick up as the signal at my place is awful, so honestly I hardly ever have the chance to get a ring on my mobile 😅. Usually, I just skip calls from unknown numbers and look them up online first to see if they’re legit before thinking about calling back 😊👍.12 monthsI didn’t pick up, number was unfamiliar.12 monthsI just got a missed call and when I checked the voicemail, it was some robotic voice that simply said "bye". Strange.Strange12 monthsGot a call from someone with a thick Indian accent saying they were from Vodafone.Vodafone12 monthsGot a call from 07393 042749, bloke said he was ringing from EE and that I’d been chosen to get half off my monthly bill. He claimed he didn’t need any info from me as he supposedly already had all the details, but wanted to send a text with a link anyway. I just ended the call and reported it to EE straight away.EE12 monthsSomeone rang up saying they were from TikTok’s promo team, but I just ended the call as soon as I heard.TikTok12 monthsThis has got to be the funniest scam I’ve ever come across. They kept messaging me saying stuff like “Dad, it’s me, I need your help, add my new number on WhatsApp.” I guess they reckon WhatsApp is safer because the cops can’t track them that way. I decided to mess with them a bit and replied, “Hey Jenny, is that you?” Next thing I know, I get a weird call with a robotic voice of a woman saying, “Hi Dad, it’s me, please add me.” Honestly, no one would ever believe that was a real person, let alone their own daughter! So I just kept sending them daft messages to waste their time since they were wasting mine. Eventually, I told them to jog on since I don’t even have kids.DadWhatsAppJenny12 monthsI get these calls all the time - must be on one of their silly lists. Usually you pick up and there’s a voice that’s really hard to make out with loads of noise in the background. They pretend they're from big companies like Sky or BT and say there’s some issue with your account, trying to trick you into handing over your mum’s maiden name or card details. Honestly, I don’t know how they expect anyone to fall for it, but I did order this bridge, so maybe they’re on to something. I mess around with them for a bit, then I said I don’t even have an account with them, especially not BT, and the call got cut off straight away. They want your info so bad, I never give them anything more than a fake first name.SkyBT12 monthsThere was a lot of noise in the background, sounded like kids playing or something, so I couldn't really make out what the caller was saying. But I’m pretty sure they mentioned BT. What confuses me is why someone from BT would ring from a random personal number, and it was showing up as Vodafone on my phone too. Doesn't make much sense to me.BTVodafone12 monthsGot a missed call from some random mobile number I didn’t recognise. There wasn’t any voicemail or anything, so I’m thinking it was probably a scam.Submit Your Own Report (07393 042749)
