I got a text on the 28th of Sept at 1:49pm claiming "EWHC Litigation Reminder: You’ll be prosecuted on Monday, last chance to sort your council traffic ticket...". Thing is, I have no clue about any unpaid fines and this smelt like a phishing attempt straight away. EWHC stands for England and Wales High Court, but traffic tickets usually go through the Magistrates Court, so it’s already suspicious. Plus, the little link preview was from the Supreme Court’s site, which makes even less sense and definitely doesn’t line up with a High Court warning. Something’s fishy here for sure.
