Got a message saying “Hi Mum” and told to reply to the number - total scam, don’t fall for it.

Totally a scam, no doubt about it. I’m on the MPS, so I gotta find out how on earth they ended up with my number. The biggest red flag was when they said one number to “mum” but the texts came from a totally different one. You’d think they’d get that right! Really dodgy.

I got a message from +44 7564 368755 saying, “Hi dad, I’m using a mate’s phone cause mine’s broken and theirs is nearly dead. Can you ping me on WhatsApp at 07391465445 when you get this?” Felt a bit off, like a dodgy scam or something.

I got a dodgy text claiming it was my son, saying he'd lost his phone and that I should call him on a different number. Total scam, it wasn’t him at all!
