I ignored the call since I don’t accept calls from unknown numbers. Tried sending a text but it never got delivered, and calling back wasn’t possible either. Came here to check and I’ve no debts at all. If this was supposed to be from the national debt line, then it’s definitely a scam in my opinion.

Got a call where someone with a thick Indian accent was asking specifically for me by name, saying they were from some credit management team.

I nearly picked up the phone but I’m really relieved I didn’t - just looked it up on my laptop and it seemed dodgy!

The caller had a really thick accent and said something about the national debt line. When he said "OK," I told him no, then I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
