I got a call on my home phone today at 10:17am from this number. The person on the line didn’t mention which bank they were representing but claimed that two big transactions had gone through on my bank account, supposedly by someone not on my usual list of payees. One of the payments was meant to have been made to Amazon, they said. They asked me to press one if I was worried about this or another number for some other option (I can’t quite recall what that was). I could tell it was dodgy straight away, so I hung up and ignored the call.

I ended the call and didn’t leave any voicemail, went ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call supposedly from Virgin Media saying there was a problem with my connection and they needed to link up with my mobile phone. I hung up straight away because I don’t have any mobile plan with Virgin, so definitely a scam.
