Had a call from a woman asking if I was John, which I am. She claimed to be from my bank’s security team - these calls happen often, but mostly automated ones saying I’ve been charged £300 on Amazon or over £1000 in the US. This time she said there was a £145 payment that I didn’t recognise. When I told her I hadn’t made it, she wanted to know some personal info, starting with my date of birth. That’s when I clocked straight away it was a scam. I told her to jog on and ended the call. She never called back after that.
