Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I was involved in some kind of tax fraud. They wanted me to press 1 to talk to them! I’m pretty sure HMRC don’t just ring you without warning, and considering I’m retired, it seemed odd to be a fraud suspect. The voice was a recorded bloke who sounded quite English. This happened around 8:30 in the morning on 11th January 2021.
