This past week, I got a call from a number claiming they were contacting me on behalf of insurance providers, wanting to discuss life insurance options.

Received a message regarding a vehicle I was advertising on Gumtree, and it was clearly from a scammer. Best to steer clear of these individuals!

This number is totally unfamiliar to me, and I’ve ignored their calls since they’ve rung me three times already.

They somehow had my husband’s full name and his mobile number. It seemed like one of those dodgy “renew your life insurance” calls. When I asked for more info, the person started making racist remarks and then just hung up. I’ve already reported it to the police.

What a rather rude and overbearing telephone caller! It was quite unsettling, to say the least. They claimed to be reaching out because, supposedly, I've had employment in a noisy workplace. They even went so far as to assure me they could assist with some sort of compensation claims. The caller actually knew my little girl’s full name, and she’s only five! They wanted to speak to her, which I thought was weird. When I asked them who they were and what they wanted, they got annoyed and quite rude. After I said my daughter was just five years old, they just ended the call straight away.

Why don’t you want to chat with us?" I told him straight, “Because you might be trying to scam me,” and then he just cut me off.
