I got a call from some bloke with a thick Liverpool accent, saying he was ringing from Lambeth Council. He was really pushy and vague about what the call was about. When I asked him some questions, he got proper angry and even started threatening me. The whole thing lasted maybe a minute before he just hung up on me. He wouldn’t give any real details or even confirm who he was properly. It was pretty clear to me it was a phishing scam. Just so you know, I’ve worked in telecoms for almost two decades in senior roles, so I know what I’m talking about.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the DVLA, but it was definitely a scam. Don’t click on any links or give out any personal info, it’s better to just ignore it.

Got a call claiming to be from the DVLA, said it was urgent and I needed to respond quickly. Sounded fishy to me, probably a scam trying to scare people.
