Got a call from 07552 073382 the other day, said it was about Mike Bowers and some company called Covernt House Ltd. The bloke claimed to be from a High Court Collection Agency, but when I rang up Northants High Court, they had no clue about it. The guy ended up shouting and swearing at me on the phone before hanging up. Seems like a total scam, and I’ve been told to report it to Action Fraud. Watch out for this one!

Keep an eye out for this guy! I seriously don’t think Mike Bowers is his true name. He’s been up to no good since at least 2017 when that Covent House firm kicked off in August, pulling scams left and right. Never purchase anything from him. If he starts getting rude, make sure you record the calls or put him on speaker with others listening, then report him straight to Action Fraud. Apparently, they’re already after him.

The sales guy was really pushy, trying to strong arm new small biz owners into sticking ads in their rubbish mag. It’s such an old-fashioned way of advertising - doesn’t make sense now with how strong the internet is for marketing. They seem to prey on young startups who really want to get their name out and push them hard to buy ads. Honestly, steer well clear of this. Going online, using optimisation and stuff like AdWords, is much better for getting your business noticed. Don’t bother with their shabby little magazine. Totally avoid it!

Got a call from a bloke selling ads for the Police Federation mag, he was rushing me like mad, saying we’d already agreed weeks ago to an advert. Thing is, I never had any chat like that. Then they sent over a bill from some Mike Bowers at Covent House Ltd, based at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. The phone number was 0203 908 0035 and the email was admin@coventhouse[###]. Felt fishy if you ask me.
