I got a call from a woman speaking English, saying she was calling about my son and something to do with overpaid tax refunds from HMRC. She claimed they wanted to sort the money back to him. But HMRC would never ring a mobile like that! It felt like a total scam to me. I told her we’d get in touch with HMRC ourselves or wait for official letters instead.
