Phone call turned out to be a total scammer.

The number showed no sign on any trace and my phone didnt block it as a possible scam. I never heard it ring which is odd, maybe the phone volume was off? I checked the main sound and the ringtone volume was all the way up by the phone, so strange. Could be one of those where it connects just enough to start ringing then ends the call quickly, so it wont ring on your end properly but still makes you see a missed call. I reckon theyre trying to get ppl to call back so they know the number is live. Ive blocked it and reported it now.

Right after I blocked a dodgy call I got this number calling me too, so I’m not certain if they’re connected or just a separate nuisance.

Normally I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, but I answered this one by mistake. There was loads of noise and shouting in the background, but I couldn’t make out a single word from the person trying to call. It definitely seemed dodgy to me. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Some bloke said he was from EE saying they’d cut my phone bill, I just told him to bugger off and then he dropped the call.
