I picked up, but they just cut off straight away. Pretty sure it was a scam.

This sounds like a total scam to me, definitely not worth picking up. Best to just block or ignore if you can. Fingers crossed people don’t get caught up in any more problems, these scammers really need putting to an end.

Got a message from 901 saying they attempted to ring me, but it showed up on my phone marked as a Spam Call.

Just got a call from some place called Orton Media, which I’ve never come across before. They claimed my sim card would quit working in 5 days and then just cut me off straight away. It felt really weird and not at all legit. Watch out for this one - I ended up blocking the number.

I chose not to pick up, sounded like it was from one of those call centres.

Got a call from this call centre saying they represented 3 network. They mentioned something about Vodafone merging with 3 and offered to upgrade my SIM for some cost savings. They didn’t say their name and I could hear other voices in the background like a busy call centre. Before I could get any proper info, they just ended the call without giving me any personal details.
