I sent the mobile number and the text I got to Halifax’s security team. Pretty obvious scam since I don’t even have an account with Halifax.

Got a text from 'Halifax' saying I'd set up a new payee, which was weird cos I don't even have an account with them. The message had a link too. I rang Halifax straight away and they told me it was a scam, and they were already aware of the phone number; they passed it on to their fraud team. Quite dodgy if you ask me.
