I got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent, she said she'd connect me to a chief officer. Then this guy told me he was from HMRC, and it freaked me out cause he actually knew my name! He warned that if I didn't pay right away, the police would come and arrest me within a day. I ended the call quick because I figured it was obviously a scam.

Someone called me pretending to be from an insurance company. Felt a bit off, like they were just trying to scam me or something. Quite annoying really.

They said they were from some insurance company but it felt a bit dodgy to me. Definitely not convinced it was legit.

They won’t stop ringing me, but I never pick up after reading other comments. I saved the number under “IGNORE” in my phone. I found out blocking them doesn’t work since they call from other numbers, so by saving this one, at least I know it’s them and don’t have to keep checking who’s calling every time.

This number from Swansea, 01792 735051, is linked to a marketing firm running a dodgy call centre in the UK. They’re pretending to be from the Motor Insurance Bureau, trying to trick you into giving your personal details. Definitely a scam and quite risky, seems like they’re trying to dodge GDPR rules too. Watch out!

Not sure where my number ended up, but I've been getting loads of dodgy calls lately. Every time it’s a different phone number, so blocking them is pointless. Usually, it’s just a missed call cause I'm busy at work, so I can't be 100% sure it's a spammer, but it feels like it. When I have picked up a couple of times, they just cut off straight away.

Got a call from some Asian bloke with a really bad accent, asking loads about a crash I was in. Definitely some kind of spam.

I received a call from a chap who claimed to be with the "Accident Claim Centre." His number wasn’t even withheld, which was odd. He inquired about any injuries I might have sustained, so I cheekily told him my leg had just fallen off! He didn’t find that very amusing and promptly hung up on me. What a laugh!

Got a call from someone with a heavy Indian accent claiming there was a car crash I was involved in. I just asked him "what accident?" a couple of times and then he suddenly cut me off.

Had this cheeky call from someone claiming I was in a car crash last October. Thing is, I've never even sat behind a wheel and at 93, I doubt I'd even want to start! I kept them talking for nearly half an hour, half the time just pretending to answer the door while I got my dinner ready. They said I could claim £4000 compensation. I told them I didn’t actually want the cash and told them to give it to charity instead. You should’ve heard the bloke; he wasn’t pleased one bit!
