I've noticed this number also sends texts, so watch out carefully. Definitely avoid clicking on any links they might send you.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying we have to purchase a Google Play card from the shops. She said she’d ring my dad back the next day. She kept calling every half hour, nagging him to hurry up. Absolute scam, preying on vulnerable folks.

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from BT, saying they were upgrading the local lines to fibre optic. She mentioned an engineer’s name who’d be coming round to set it all up. Then the weird bit - she told me I needed to pop into a shop and buy a Google Play card to activate the new phone system! Sounds dodgy to me.
