2 yearsGot these texts claiming I owed parking fines with a dodgy link that supposedly leads to a government website. It asks for your car reg and postcode, but it's all bogus. You can type any random letters or numbers and it still shows a £20 fine on that car. Definitely a scam, best to just block and report them straight away.2 yearsThis number called me and said they were from Amazon, asking if I wanted a work-from-home job or something with flexible hours. They asked if I wanted to hear more about it. I did a quick search online and found out the number is connected to loads of different companies, doing all sorts of stuff. Seems like a classic scam to me.Amazon3 yearsGot a call from this number but didn’t pick up, no voicemail or anything, so I just blocked it and sent a report to [email protected]3 yearsHutchison 3G is fully aware of these scam calls going through their network, yet do nothing about it. If they got slapped with some big fines, I reckon these annoying calls would finally stop. Take away the phone lines, there'd be no one to make those calls in the first place.Hutchison3 yearsGot a call from some Asian guys claiming to fix my roof leak. I played along, said I was expecting their call and asked when they’d be arriving to sort it out. Then they passed me onto another guy, also Asian, and I started shouting at him while on speakerphone. After a few minutes, everyone just burst out laughing and we ended the call. When will these dodgy scams quit bothering us?3 yearsGot a call from this number at 6:23pm but didn’t pick up, no voicemail either. You have to stay alert. If you dont recognise the call, make sure you report it on Who-Called. Never call back strange numbers and defo dont hand over your info to loan firms - they often pass your data on to dodgy third parties.3 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be from housing repairs. This woman was so rude, kept interrupting me like a kid with all the “why”s and then ended up swearing before she just hung up on me. Proper bad manners!3 yearsAbsolute scam! It’s about time someone held the telecom firms responsible for letting their networks be used for these dodgy scams, especially HUTCHISON mobile in this case. If their bosses had to deal with the same rubbish calls we get every day, maybe they’d actually do something. They should have their license pulled until these calls finally stop.Hutchison Mobile3 yearsDefinitely a scam, so I just blocked the number straight away.3 yearsGot a call from someone called the HOUSING DISREPAIR TEAM, but they were ringing from Scotland.
