Got a call from someone saying they were EE and that I’d been picked for a 40% discount on my phone bill. Total scam, no doubt about it. Don’t hand over any details, legit companies always use official means and won’t mind if you just end the call!

Got a call from this number claiming to be O2, but the person just talked non-stop and wouldn’t let me speak at all. After struggling to get a word in, I told her I’m not an O2 customer and I know it’s a scam, so please don’t bother calling again. Right after I ended the call, the same woman rang me back and tried the same pushy routine. Definitely a dodgy number, not to trust.

I got a call claiming I was entitled to a discount with my mobile network. They asked me to confirm my email address to verify my identity. I tried giving them the last 4 letters of my email to prove it was me, but the guy with an Indian accent just kept repeating the same lines. When I told him he already had my email so he could just check those last few characters, he insisted on having the full email! I told him to call me back and that I'd look into it first. Clearly a scam. I rang my provider afterwards, and they confirmed there's no such discount scheme going on.
