Lady with a scouse accent called asking if I needed any housing repairs done. I told her no, but mentioned a surveyor’s coming on Friday for a check. She ended the call pretty abruptly. Seems like one of those UK versions of the Indian housing repair scams. I’ve blocked the number now.

I told him straight up that wasn’t the case and told him to jog on and find a proper job, you sneaky Scouse git. He said he was Justin from housing repair, ringing tenants to make sure their homes were okay. I wasn’t having it and said, “Sounds like a scam to me, goodbye.” Then I hung up and blocked the number.

Has anyone picked up when this number called? I got several missed calls from it, maybe some sort of spam or robocall centre trying my number out? I never pick up numbers I don’t recognise, and there was no voicemail left either. I’ve been searching online for clues but couldn’t find anything useful. Not keen on calling them back until I figure out who it is. Anyone got a clue?

Just got a message about a PPI claim we apparently have going on. They said they know the amount I'm supposed to get now. Told me to reply with my address for the info pack, or just say stop if I don’t want to hear more. Bit annoying but thought I'd share in case anyone else had the same.
