Got a text from 07379958739 asking me to confirm payment for a new payee. Didn't click on the link coz seemed dodgy. I rang HSBC straight away and they said it wasn't from them. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

This has all the hallmarks of a dodgy scam message. The text said it was from HSBC, saying someone had tried to make a payment to a new account. Then it told me to click a link if I didn’t make the transaction. The funny thing is, I don’t have an account with HSBC at all!
