There was complete silence on the other end and I just stayed quiet. After a few moments the call just ended. I reckon the person calling got pretty frustrated not hearing a word back.

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky, offering me 40% off my plan. When I mentioned I’d already told Sky I was cancelling, she just ended the call. This isn’t the first time either - I’ve had about seven calls like this from different numbers, all pretending to be Sky. I checked in with Sky directly, and they said it definitely wasn’t them. They advised me not to share any info, to hang up straight away, and block those numbers.

I reckon it was the same bloke, sounded like he was from Slough again, but this occasion he was calling on behalf of Sky. Once I told him I wasn’t a Sky customer, I told him to take his bother somewhere else.

Got a call from a guy who sounded foreign, maybe Indian, claiming he was with O2 and insisted I needed to get a new SIM card. I told him my current one was fine and quickly ended the call. When I looked up the number on Google AI, it showed it wasn't connected to any real company and was probably a fake mobile number used for phishing or scam delivery attempts.
