Got a call from a woman saying she was from BT, telling me there were issues with my internet line. I had to keep asking her to say it again because her story about some "weak and patchy connection" didn’t make much sense. Eventually, she realised I wasn’t buying it! This scam is pretty old now, but I guess they must be making some victims or they wouldn’t keep trying it. It’s really worrying, especially for older folks who might get anxious from calls like this. Honestly, I think it’s both annoying and quite threatening.
