A community support officer from my local police advised me to avoid these types of stickers altogether. Apparently, criminals have used them before to trick people. If you ever need a locksmith, it’s safer to search for one in an online directory or a phone book instead.

So I found this number stuck on the front door of my flat and gave it a ring, only for the bloke to tell me he doesn’t even work around here. Makes no sense putting those stickers up where they aren’t even active. After reading other posts, I reckon I dodged a bullet there!

I’m so angry right now. Some dodgy lot stuck a rubbish sticker on my doorframe and when I tried to take it off, it pulled the paint right off. The sticker didn’t even have a company name, just some vague “24hr locksmith” written on it. It’s ridiculous that these muppets can do stuff like this without any consequences. The council should really crack down on them and shut them up for good.

Weird thing is, when you look up this number, all you get are these sort of stories. You'd think a real locksmith would have something else online - like a proper site or be listed on sites like Yell or other local business pages. Having read about burglars putting these stickers on homes they want to target, I’m feeling a bit uneasy. Really hope the police track them down. Even just putting up these stickers counts as vandalism, right?

What’s the point of these muppets slapping two stickers on my doorbell/intercom? They’re both identical, just one’s see-through and the other is white. The writing says something like "24/7 LOCKSMITHS. Lock & Keys Specialist. 07379 253 353. Locks, Carpentry & Doors". One sticker is already annoying, but sticking two at the same spot? That’s just desperate. Honestly, these guys must be hopeless locksmiths if they think this is how you attract customers. My local locksmith gets all his work purely through recommendations.

I’ve noticed these locksmiths causing trouble by slapping stickers all over front doors, advertising their services. When you try to remove these, the paint often gets ruined. Apparently, the police warn against hiring locksmiths who use these sticker tactics because many aren’t genuine and turn out to be fraudsters (just search online and you’ll find plenty of reports). Seems like Cricklewood Locksmiths are at it again, probably under a new contact number. They got banned by Brent Council before because of their obsession with plastering labels everywhere.

If you google “07932 961616” you’ll find quite a few forum posts and news stories about folks complaining that Cricklewood Locksmiths have been slapping stickers on people’s doors without asking.
