I got a call from some dodgy lot in India claiming to be the Refund Dept from the Financial Conduct Authority. They said I was owed a refund for paying off my mortgage and wanted my date of birth to "confirm" it. I mentioned I’d checked the FCA's site and it clearly shows there’s no such Refund Dept legit. Sounds like the number was faked because I had a call from the same person yesterday but using a different mobile number. Total scam, avoid!
