I heard if you text 7726 the number, they supposedly block scam calls. Don’t really know if they do any checking after that though?

I never pick up numbers I don’t know. This particular one called me thrice in just one day, and one of those calls was super early, like 7.40 in the morning. I looked it up online and quickly figured out it’s a dodgy scam.

Got a text saying my PayPal was frozen and I needed to click a link to sort it out. Didn’t fall for it though - I went straight to the PayPal website myself and everything was fine with my account. Definitely a dodgy message!

So this number, 07379 977215, has been calling me saying they've taken £79.99 from my Amazon account. I know for a fact Amazon wouldn’t ever call you like that. Definitely a scam alert. Stay careful folks!

Loads of dodgy scammers calling me! My top tip? When they ring, just put a whistle up to the phone and blow it loud in the receiver. Proper laugh every time! 😂

I got a call about some ‘credit check’ and they said folks would be showing up at my place to seize my stuff. I just found it hilarious and after a bit they gave up when they saw I wasn’t bothered at all.

Got a call from this number, a bloke with an Asian accent asked if I was Mohammed Khalil. I asked who was calling and then he flipped out, told me to get lost and never ring again. I never even called him! Seems like this person has a habit of harassing others - I’ve seen other comments saying the same. This kind of behaviour should definitely be looked into by the police.

Someone just phoned me saying the government’s started a charity to wipe out debt. When I asked for more details, he suddenly got really aggressive and disrespectful. Totally a SCAM.

Somebody phoned me saying I owed money and that the government could assist in sorting it out. When I told them I wasn’t bothered, they started threatening that bailiffs would be knocking at my door to settle a loan. Proper nasty and quick with it.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, they didn’t leave a voicemail though. After seeing what people have said about it, I decided to block it straight away.

I was fuming and told my other half to shove off in no uncertain terms! Ended up having to ring the cops because I was that mad.

I've been getting calls from the same firm, but they keep using different mobile numbers - like 20 or more by now! Even after I told them to take me off their list, they just won't quit. So now, when I pick up, I just tell them to feck right off! Proper scammers. I've blocked every single number they ring from. Today alone, they’ve called me three times using two different mobiles.

I rang citizen advice earlier to talk about cold calls but the person on the other end got really rude, calling me horrible names and making disgusting comments. To make things worse, my daughter was sitting right there in the car with me.

I got a call from this number saying I owe money and have some dodgy loans. I told them I’m actually under a DRO and don’t owe anything. Then, out of nowhere, he just called me a liar! Quite shocking really.

Got a call from this number earlier, they claimed I was pre-approved to consolidate my debts. The bloke asked if I was able to pay around £80 to £90, but I said no way. Then he just hung up on me. When I tried ringing back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Be careful and don’t share any info with this caller, it’s definitely a scam and should be reported straight away.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from my life insurance company. They told me I had to update my monthly payments because of this Covid 29 thing. Seemed a bit off to me.

Got a call from this number, the bloke said he was from Citizens Advice about some debt. I asked why they’d ring me from a mobile and what sort of business they run, plus why his office number was c####. He just hung up on me. Tried ringing back and it said the number’s not in service anymore, so I sent a text instead and gave him a ring again. Sist 27 or something.

this guy called me sayin he was with some charity that helps kids clear their debts. he told me he could sort out paying 70% of my credit card balance, which sounded a bit too good to be true. then he said he had got a notice from my credit card company with all my info. but then he started asking me for my personal details - which made no sense. when I said he should already have that info if he got a notice, he just hung up. total scam, watch out!
